2011-2015

Reed became a professional golfer in the year 2011, and played his first PGA tour event, at the FedEx St. Jude Classic, but he missed his cut. He then went on to play two more events in the same year and made a clean $20,000. He later played two events on the Nationwide Tour but earned just $5,000.

In 2013, he was lucky enough to finish in the top-10 of the 2013 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. He finally earned his first million of his career, bagging $1.9 million, by playing over 26 Tour events.

In 2014, Patrick finally won the WGC-Cadillac Championship title, where he earned $1.53 million at the Trump National Doral. Reed also went on to set the record for most strokes under par at the 2014 Humana Challenge. He played 28 events that year and earned around $4 million.

Patrick then went on to win his fourth title in the PGA Tour at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in the year 2015. He was also successful in securing a 2nd position at the Valspar Championship.

He finished third at the Hero World Challenge and also joined the European Tour 2015 season and ended the year with a seventh position in the Honda Classic. He made a total of $3.5 million that year, playing over 27 Tour events.

2016-2018

Reed won his first FedEx Cup playoff event, The Barclays held on August 28, 2016, which was played at the Bethpage Black. The win at the Barclays was his fifth win in the PGA Tour. In 2016 he played 28 Tour events and took home nearly $5.7 million.

In 2017 he finished the PGA Championship in the second position and participated in over 29 Tour events winning over $3 million.

His recent win was on April 8, 2018, at the 2018 Masters Tournament, where he beat Rickie Fowler with one point and Jordan Spieth with two. This win eventually brought his career earnings to $22 million and earned around $1.5 million for that season.
