Beginning her career from her appearance in the television series Daktari (1996-1969), Erin Moran's career reached height after she appeared in the Happy Days in 1974 as Joanie Cunningham, the feisty younger sister of Richie Cunningham portrayed by Ron Howard.

As reported, for the first season, Moran was paid $10,400, which increased to $17,250 in September 1974 for her increased demand in the second season of the sitcom Happy Days.

In the year 1975, she received $21,600 for the 3rd season.

By 1982, Erin Moran also appeared in the Happy Days' short-lived spin-off series Joanie Loves Chachi alongside Scott Baio, but after its cancellation in 1983, she returned to Happy Days for its final season.

Moran was a contestant on VH1's reality show Celebrity Fit Club in 2008, which was followed by her appearance in the comedy feature Not Another B Movie in 2010. But after Erin stopped getting roles, she retired from her acting career in 2012.

In 2013, Erin was to play in the 4th Season of Netflix series Arrested Development alongside Happy Days co-star Henry Winkler, Ron Howard, and Scott Baio, but she didn't.

Later, on April 22, 2017, Erin was found dead in Corydon, Indiana, where she was living with her second husband Steven Fleischmann since their marriage on November 23, 1993. Previously, she was in a relationship with her first (ex) husband Rocky Ferguson from 1987-1993.

Erin Moran's Happy Days Lawsuit

Erin Moran along with 3 of her Happy Days co-stars Don MostAnson Williams, and Marion Ross and the estate of Tom Bosley, who died in 2010, sued CBS' Happy Day for $10 million on April 19, 2011.

The lawsuit claimed that the cast members were not paid for merchandising revenues owed under their contracts reaching up to million dollars, while CBS said it owed the actors between $8,500 and $9,000 each, most of it from slot machine revenues.

In October 2011, the group's claim was named fraud by a judge but another judge denied a motion to dismiss filed by CBS on June 5, 2012.

Later, the actors settled with CBS off-court in July 2012, in a condition of $65,000 payment for each and a promise to continue honoring the terms of their contracts.

In 1983, Erin Moran won Young Artist Award for Best Actress in a New Television Series for Joanie Loves Chachi. She won a TV Land Award for a Happy Days special called Most Wonderful Wedding.
