On the 1st of June 1925, Howard got married to Ella Rice. But when he was married to her, he had a romantic relationship with several beautiful girls. Because of his extra affairs, his married life ended in divorce on the 9th of December 1929.
In 1949, Howard was seen having romantic love affairs with Terry Moore. Terry Moore is also an actress from the United States. This secret and romantic love life lasted till 1976.

On the 12th of January 1957, Howard got married for the second time in his life. He got married to Jean Peters. Jean Peters was an actress from the United States. She was famous for being a star of 20th Century Fox. It is also said that they have dated each other since the 1940s. Though he loved her so much in his life, his married life ended on the 18th of June 1971.
Howard's secret love Tierney once said that I don't think Howard could love anything that did not have a motor in it. He was interested in science and technology since he was a child. When he was just 11, he build Houston's first "wireless" radio transmitter.
