James Hugh Calum Laurie is a British actor, writer, director, musician, singer, and comedian. Best known as one half of an English comedy double act Fry and Laurie. Hugh was listed in The Guinness World Record for the highest-paid actor in TV series and the most-watched leading man in 2011.

Actor Hugh married theater administrator Joanne Green in 1989. Even though they have spent more than 34 years of their married life together, their journey has not been easy. They were even in a state of getting a divorce.

Their eldest son Charlie played a cameo part in A Bit of Fry & Laurie, in the last sketch of an episode entitled Special Squad, as baby William while his daughter Rebecca had a role in the film Wit as five-year-old Vivian Bearing.
