Irina Alexandrovna Viner started taking training for the gymnastics at the age of 11. Irina is a three-time winner of the Uzbek SSR gymnastics tournament. She served as the coach of the national team in rhythmic gymnastics in Tashkent.
After Viner became the coach of the national team of Russia, She became a coach for the British national team in 1990. In 1992, she moved back to Russia as she became the head coach of Russian national rhythmic gymnastics. Following She became the president of the Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation in 2008.
Later Viner was awarded the Olympic Order for her best performance in the world wide sports which make Irina the first gymnastic coach to receive the award in 2015. She has received a necklace from the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach.
