Later on, he appeared in NBC's television variety show Maya & Marty and was featured on the talk show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon hosted by comedian Jimmy Fallon. In 2017, Bashir did the recurring role as Keith Bang in GLOW alongside Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Sydelle Noel, and others.
His movie Snatched in which he portrayed the character of an officer at the U. S. State Department was released in the same year. The film had the box office collection of $60.8 million.
