28-year-old Adam Rippon, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, is a figure skater. The gay athlete is the 2010 Four Continents and 2016 U.S. champion. At present, he is representing the United States at the 2018 Winter Olympics being held at Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Adam may not be anyone's boyfriend, but his best friend Ashley Wagner considers him as her soulmate. Ashley once said,
Adam Rippon is not only my training mate, but my soulmate. We have been best friends since we met years ago and he is my absolute rock in this sport and life.
Adam was born with severe hearing loss and had to undergo several surgeries. Just before his first birthday, Adam was all cured and was able to hear perfectly.
Starting off skating at the age of 10, Rippon won the silver medal at the Novice level at the age of 16 in the 2005 U.S. Championships. He was qualified in the 2007-08 ISU Junoir Grand Prix Final and won the gold medal. Later, he entered the 2008 U.S. Championship at the junior level and won the title.
After the successive gold wins, Adam wanted to be the part of 2010 Olympic team but didn't make the cut, instead, he was selected for the Four Continents Championships in which he grabbed yet another gold medal.

Even though Adam was titled the sixth place at the 2016 World Championships held in Boston, he received a standing ovation from the entire audience.
In 2017, Rippon won silver medals in both of his Grand Prix assignments, 2017 NHK Trophy, and 2017 Skate America. On January 7, 2018, it was officially announced that he was selected in the USA Olympic team to compete at the Winter Olympics.

Adam made his Olympic debut with Coldplay's song "O" and earned his first Olympian bronze medal, while the gold and silver ones were entitled to Canadian skater Patrick Chan and Mikhail Kolyada respectively.
