As Jack's mother was also a great musician, he began his interest in music at a young age. He began playing guitar and graduated in guitar when he was aged 15 years old. He joined Highland Park High School. He formed his first band, the Jade with his schoolmates. He graduated in the early 1960s and then joined Southern Methodist University. He also continued to perform locally. While he was at Southern Methodist University, he majored in engineering but later he got transferred to business school and earned his degree in accounting. In 1965, he co-founded a sound equipment provider company Showco. He has also produced several movies and TV shows. His nationality was American and his net worth was in the millions during his death. He died of cancer in early 2015.
