She was from a middle-class family. She was born and grew up in London. Her parents were Mortimer Herbert Morris-Goodall and Margaret Myfanwe Joseph. Her father was a businessman and her mother was a novelist.

November 28 , 1964

Married to Baron Hugo van Lawick

It was on 28th of November, 1964, when Dame Jane Morris Goodall married. She was married to a Dutch nobleman, Baron Hugo van Lawick. He was a wildlife photographer. They got married at Chelsea Old Church, London

1967

Gave birth to her first child

 After the marriage, she changed her name to Baroness Jane van Lawick-Goodall. In 1967, she became a mother. She gave birth to a son named Hugo Eric Louis. The father of her child was her husband Baron Hugo van Lawick.

 

1974

Divorced with her husband

Goodall and Baron Hugo van Lawick remained in the married life for about a decade. During this married life, they also had one child together. However, in 1974They first separated with each other and finally divorced in the same year.

 

1975

Married to Derek Bryceson

Then she remained single for a year. One year later she got married to Derek Bryceson. He was one of the important persons of Tanzania's parliament. He was also the director of national parks in Tanzania

1980

Her husband died

They were living a happy married life until 1980, when he was diagnosed with cancer and passed away in October 1980. She then shifted to his position as the director of the national part and devoted her life for the protection of wild animals.

1957

She went to Kenya

Her love for animal and the welfare for the poor people took her to Kenya in 1957. She worked in the farm of her friend as a secretary. During those days, she was also giving him the direction in this field. One day she called Louis Leakey. He was a Kenyan archaeologist and paleontologist.

Her book was not published as planned

No one in this world get rid of the criticism, she also became the victim of this. Out to publish her book. However, on 22nd March, 2013, the publishing company, Hachette Book Group stated, she won't be able to publish her new book. It was about to be released ten days later. 

 

1980

Honored with World Wildlife Award for Conservation

She has been nominated for a lot of prestigious awards and she has also won some of them. In 1980, she was awarded the World Wildlife Award for Conservation from the Order of the Golden Ark. 

 

1984

Won J Paul Getty Wildlife Conservation Prize

Her contribution for the protection of the wild animals is respectable. She devoted her life to protect these wild animals. For this, in 1984, she received J. Paul Getty Wildlife Conservation Prize. The following year she was also honored by the Living Legacy Award from the International Women's League.

Dame Jane Morris Goodall, DBE was born on 3rd April 1934. She is a UN Messenger for Peace. She is an English primatologist and an ethologist. She has received lots of honor as well as awards for her work to make peace in the world.

She was born in London, England. Her parents were parents father Mortimer Herbert Morris-Goodall and mother Margaret Myfanwe Joseph. Her father was a businessman and her mother was a novelist. During her childhood days, her father gave her a toy; it was a chimpanzee toy and it was named Jubilee by her father. It is at that time she started to like animals and became desirous to make peace in the world.

Dame Jane Morris Goodall was interested in animals since her childhood days. And her interest took her to Kenya in 1957. She worked on a farm of her friend as a secretary. One day she called Louis Leakey, who was a Kenyan archaeologist and paleontologist.

In the following year, the Kenyan archaeologist offered her to study primate behavior in London. He raised the fund and helped her to obtain a Ph.D. degree in Ethology from Cambridge University.

It was on the 28th of November, 1964, when Dame Jane Morris Goodall got married. She married to a Dutch nobleman, Baron Hugo van Lawick. She was a wildlife photographer. The wedding ceremony was held at Chelsea Old Church, London. After the wedding, she changed her name to Baroness Jane van Lawick-Goodall.

The couple has a son together and his name is Hugo Eric Louis, who was born in 1967. However, their married life didn't last that long and in 1974, they ended their marital relationship with a divorce.

The year Jane divorced her second spouse Drake, he was diagnosed with cancer. And shortly after that in October 1980, he died.
