Jay Leno was from the middle class family born as James Douglas Muir Leno in New Rochelle, New York, United States of America to Catherine Muir and Angelo Leno. He is an American and is of Scottish and Italian descent.

1972

Graduated from Emerson College

After his high school graduation, he joined Emerson College. There he majored in speech therapy. He was one of the best students there as he also graduated from there regularly and earned his bachelor's degree in 1972.

Began his career as a Comedian

After earning his bachelor's degree, he desired to begin his professional career. After that he began his career as comedian from a comedy club in 1973. When went on performing in several stages and some years later he earned his place in television.
