He was selected by an American professional basketball team based in Phoenix, Arizona named Phoenix Suns in 1990. He was selected in the first round with the 21st pick of the 1990 NBA Draft.  His draft rights were traded to the Philadelphia 76ers where he served as a bench player for two seasons.

His retirement

He officially announced his retirement due to recurring injuries and that was on 28 June, 2000, when he was 32 years old.  In 1999 he broke his leg in a collision with Stephon Marbury. He had surgery that ended his career and announced his retirement.
