Following the sensational murder of a 7-year-old girl, Jazmine Barnes near Houston in late December, the HSCO Texas arrested a 20-year-old man in Texas on Saturday, January 5, 2019.

The incident took place on December 30, 2018, while Barnes's mother along with Jazmine and her three sisters were pulled out by a vehicle alongside their car and opened gunfire. The shooting resulted in the death of Jazmine due to headshot while her mother, LaPorsha Washington got hit in the arm.

After being presented in the court just before 5 a.m. this Sunday, the court ordered Black to be held without bail.

As per the court documents and the Investigators, Barne's family was attacked due to mistaken identity.

Lee Merritt, an attorney for the Barnes family, told CBS News another suspect has also been arrested.

Further sources reported that Eric Jr. was driving the vehicle that he rented and a white male in his 30s or 40s was the shooter. Soon after Black's arrest, Larry Woodruffe, 24, was also detained as a second suspect in the case.
