Jeff Bridges' AKA Jeffrey Leon Bridges is an American actor, singer, and producer best known for portraying his role as The Dude in comedy crime film The Big Lebowski. He was born on December 4, 1949, in Los Angeles, California, the United States to parents mother Dorothy Bridges and father Lloyd Bridges. His father was an actor while his mother was also an actress and a poet.
Jeff has two brothers and a sister. His brothers were Beau Bridges and Garrett Bridges, who died in 1948 following sudden infant death syndrome, and her sister was Lucinda Bridges. He was raised up in the Holmby Hills section of Los Angeles. He is American and is of diverse descent.
He attended the University High School, from where he graduated in 1967. After graduating from high school, he moved to New York City, where he studied acting at the Herbert Berghof Studio. The actor also served in the US Coast Guard Reserve for seven years.
