1971

Induced an interest in comedy

When Jeff was eight, he attended a comedy show where Jimmy Durante was the main performer. After seeing his performance, he was influenced by his humorous acts. His mother was also an active member of Community Theater.

1980

Graduated from Nova High School

As a child he joined Melzer Elementary School where he was also active in several sports but due to the Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome he quit sports. Later he attended Nova High School and graduated from there in 1980.

1983

Began his acting career

He made his acting debut in 1983 from the movie, Spring Break but this role was minor one. He played the role of Gut Gut in this movie. In 1989, he appeared in the TV series Roseanne. 

1984

Began his stand up career

After his high school graduation, he got enrolled at Broward Community College and finally University of Miami where he majored in film. As he was interested in comedy, he dropped out from there and began his stand up career. In 1984, he performed in The Second City.

1992

Appeared in the movie, Straight Talk

In 1992, he appeared in the movie Straight Talk where he starred the role of Bob. He also appeared in the movie Hero that year. The following year, he appeared in the movie RoboCop 3 and it was followed by Little Big League.
