She was suspended from her post during NBA Playoffs it is due to her article about the then-NBA champion Boston Celtics and the Detroit Pistons and that was in 2008. She was suspended for a week and later she apologized through ESPN.

In her past Jemele Hill got rumored for having a relationship with various boyfriends; however, none of those turned real except her encounter with boyfriend, Michael Smith, one of her co-hosts of the ESPN show "His & Hers."  The talented lady, however, prefers to keep her personal matter far from the media and web.
