Born as Jemima Marcelle Goldsmith on 30th January 1974 in Westminster, London, England, the United Kingdom to Lady Annabel Vane-Tempest-Stewart and Sir James Goldsmith. Jemima was raised in a higher-class family. She is English and is of Anglo-Irish and French descent.
Jemima received her formal education from Francis Holland School. After the completion of her secondary education there, she joined the University of Bristol but she dropped out from there without completing her Bachelor's Degree.

On the 16th of May 1995, Jemima got married to Imran Khan. As a married couple, they welcomed two children together and she also changed her family name to Khan. They dissolved their married life in 2004.
