Jessica Brooke Capshaw is an American actress best known for her portrayal of a lesbian doctor, Arizona Robbins, in the drama TV show Grey's Anatomy alongside Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, and  Sara Ramirez. She is also known for playing the role of Jamie Stringer in the show, The Practice. Jessica is still portraying the role of Arizona in 'Grey's Anatomy' as she was made a regular character after the 6th season.

Jessica was born on 9th August 1976 in Missouri, USA. She made her debut as an actress in the 2001 slasher film Valentine, and by 2009, she was already a cast member in Grey's Anatomy. Apart from these TV shows, the 45-year-old has also appeared in films and TV shows like The Hero of Color City as Duck, Bones as Rebecca Stinson, One Angry Juror as Sarah Walsh, and many others.

It is unknown when the two started dating or got engaged. Nonetheless, the lovely couple got married to each other on 22nd May 2004 at an East Hampton estate owned by her family. The couple gave birth to their first child Luke Hudson Gavigan on 8th September 2007. 

Later, on 20th October  2010, they gave birth to their second child, daughter Eve Augusta Gavigan followed by the third child, Poppy James Gavigan on 20th June 2012. 

On 2nd May 2016, they gave birth to their youngest child, Josephine Kate Gavigan.
