Talented actress, Jiah was born as Nafisa Khan in New York City, New York, United States of America to Ali Rizvi Khan, and Rabia Amin. She spends most of her childhood days in London. She was an American and British native and was Muslim.

2007

Began her acting career

She did Edexcel O and A Level and graduated from there with an exceptional honor. After that she became more interested in Bollywood and finally moved to Mumbai. She made her acting debut in 2007 starring the role of Jiah in the movie, Nishabd for which she was also honored with Filmfare Award.

2008

Appeared in the movie, Ghajini

Her breakthrough role came in 2008 when she starred the role of Sunita in the movie, Ghajini. Indian actor Aamir Khan was the lead actor in this movie. Two years later, she also appeared in the movie, Housefull.

June 3 , 2013

Committed a suicide

On 3rd of June 2013, Jiah committed a suicide hanging her from a ceiling fan. Her body was in hummed at Juhu Muslim cemetery. A letter written by her was published later by her sister, which included plan to end her life.
