In 1991, John got married to Melissa Buccigross. Melissa Buccigross is a beautiful lady, she looks like a model. As a married couple they have been parents three times and they named them Brett Buccigross, Malorie Buccigross and Jack Buccigross.
John received his formal education from Steubenville Catholic Central High School. That was also the same high school; he completed his high school graduation. After that he joined Heidelberg College with a major in Communications and Theater Arts. He has been active in broadcast journalism since he earned his undergraduate graduation. During his early days, he worked as the co host of the show, NHL 2Night. He also got nominated in Emmy award for hosting this show. In 1996, he joined ESPN as an anchor. With the start of 2006, he signed a contract with Middle Atlantic Press and began writing his book.
