John Carney is an Irish film and TV writer & director specializes in low-budget films born in Panama City, Dublin. He grew up with his parents along with his siblings Kieran Carney and Tom Hall. He attended De La Salle College in church town and pursued his degree also from Synge Street CBS. Regarding his ethnicity, he is white and holds Ireland nationality.
John began his career shooting and directing music videos. He wrote and directed two award-winning short films; Shining Star and Hotel. He features his first movie November Afternoon which was written and directed by him. His outstanding knowledge and diligent performance led him to won Silver Hitchcock Award for the movie On the Edge. Carney movies include “Park”, “Once”, “Zonad”, “Being Again”, and recently “Sing Street”.
Moving towards his personal life, he married to Tracey Quillen after having affairs for several months. They are spending their quality time with their children and living a happy married life. The big chunk of his earning came from his professional career which has been estimated as $ 5 million.
