John Edwards McGee

An American television personality, professionally known as John Edward was born as John Edward McGee, Jr. born on 19 October 1969, in Glen Cove, New York in the United States.

1998

Edwards First Book

His career started with working as a phlebotomist, an author, and an alleged psychic medium. He published his first writing One Last Time in 1998, to which he appeared on Larry King Live later in the same year. 

2001

McGee's own show

In 2001 – Crossing Over with John Edward, which broadcasted on the Sci-Fi Channel in the United States and on Living TV in the UK. In the show, Edwards gave psychic readings to the audience until the show ended in 2004.

2006

The Second Show

In 2006 Edward’s new show, John Edward Cross Country made its broadcast on We TV to late 2008. In each episode, after a reading made of the audiences, Edward’s is shown visiting the people whose reading were done along with their families, seeing how the experience had made a change in their lives.

He started working as a phlebotomist, an author, and a psychic counselor. He published his first writing One Last Time in 1998, for which he appeared on Larry King Live later in the same year. After the year 1998, he had his show in 2001 – Crossing Over with John Edward, which broadcasted on the Sci-Fi Channel in the United States and on Living TV in the UK. In the show, Edwards gave psychic readings to the audience until the end of the show in 2004. Later, in 2006 Edward’s new show, John Edward Cross Country, made its broadcast on We TV till late 2008.

Then again, with fame comes hatred, and criticism, when Edward’s psychic reading was observed carefully, it was said he was fake and that he used the information he already possessed from the audiences.

Gary Schwartz, a psychologist, and researcher in the field of parapsychology or paranormal study, set up and administered a series of tests on Edward and several other mediums to investigate their paranormal studies, and published the abilities in the book The Afterlife Experiments; the never reviewed it but was directly publish.

Recently after the 9/11 attack, John began filming one person particularly by meeting the victims’ relatives, with the intention of communicating with those who died in the tragic event. In the end, the television show Crossing Over with John Edwards and Sci-Fi Channel was flooded with calls and e-mails expressing outrage and anger, along with grief towards the nation’s tragedy. Rosenberg totally ignored the criticism, making a statement that the program would continue as scheduled, but within an hour the channel terminated the plans.

During his work at the Long Island University Edward met his wife, Sandra McGee when he was a student in a dance studio. The two got married and has two children; Justin and Olivia. The couple is living happily together. As of 2017, John's net worth is estimated to be around $3 million.
