He then joined Granada Hills High School where he also played high school football for about three years. After his high school graduation in 1979, he joined Stanford University and there he became active in football and baseball. In the 1983 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Baltimore Colts. Then he joined Denver Broncos and he played his debut game against Pittsburgh Steelers. Three years later, he took them to Super Bowl XXI but was defeated by NFC champion New York Giants 39–20. In 1999, he announced this retirement. His net worth is said to be around $145 Million.
