John Hill appeared in American music, Hairspray, by musician Marc Shaiman and lyrics by Scott Wittman. He also appeared in The Boy from Oz, a Jukebox musical based on the life of singer, songwriter Peter Allen. Later John featured in the original Off-Broadway cast of Bare: A Pop Opera in which he played the leading role of Jason and opposite to Michael Arden and Jenna Leigh Green.  

A demo of 11 tracks from this production was recorded. However, the remaining tracks were never recorded as the production stopped. He appeared in Bare's Back concert after the show closed.

In 2011, Hill worked as an executive producer of the popular LOGO hit spinoff The A-List: Dallas. He currently hosts The Feels on Radio Andy, which plays on Andy Cohen's Sirius XM Channel, and also works as a producer on Watch What Happens Live.
