John Hughes died on August 6, 2009. He was walking in the West Street in Manhattan where she4 suddenly faced a severe heart attack. After that, he was immediately rushed to Roosevelt Hospital, but it was too late and he was announced dead there.

John Hughes was a married man and he was married to his wife, Nancy Ludwig in 1970. The couple was blessed with two children and they were happily married for more than 3 decades. They were happily married until the death of John Hughes. He died on August 6, 2009, by suffering from a severe heart attack while he was walking on West Street in Manhattan. After the heart attack he was quickly rushed to Roosevelt Hospital, but unfortunately, he was announced dead there.  His funeral took place in Chicago after 5 days of his death on August 11.

John Hughes was one of the successful personalities in Hollywood. He has directed many movies and shows and was able to earn a good sum of money from his career. According to records, his net worth was estimated to be around $250 million when he died in 2009.
