The relationship between John Leguizamo and Justine Maurer tracks back to the '90s. It was 1997 when the 53-year-old Whispers in the Dark actor first met his current wife Justine Maurer on the set of Carlito's Way.  When they had their first meeting, Justine was working as a customer for the film.

It looks as if it was love at first sight as the couple started meeting regularly. After several meetings, they eventually started an affair.

These two lovebirds dated for five full years and finally, they decided to get married. They married in 2003 and made the year 2003 the most blissful year of their life. On 28 June 2003, they officially became husband and wife in a Catholic-Jewish wedding ceremony as John is Catholic and Justine is Jewish.
