Judi Dench was born to Reginald Arthur Dench, a resident doctor and Eleanora Olive in Heworth, North Riding of Yorkshire. She attended The Mount high School, a Quaker independent secondary school in York and went to Central School of Speech and Drama. Regarding her Ethnicity, she is White and holds British Nationality.
Judi started her professional career appearing in the role of Ophelia in Hamlet at the Royal Court Theatre.
