Kathy Griffin has a toyboy boyfriend. Why did she divorced her husband Matt Moline?

Suddenly Susan’s Kathy Griffin had a toyboy boyfriend in 2012. This couple looked quite odd as Griffin’s boyfriend seemed much younger than her. However, she looked rather happy with him due to her catch.

This does not mean that Griffin did not date men older than her age. She was once married to Matt Moline. However, their relationship did not last forever. The reason behind this couple’s divorce quite shocked Griffin’s fans. Let’s find out more about her affair.

Kathy Griffin accused her ex-husband of theft and they divorce

Comedian Kathy Griffin got hitched to software entrepreneur, Matt Moline on 8th February 2001. Sadly, their marriage could not last for even half-decade. She filed for divorce against Moline in September 2005. The reason behind Griffin and Moline’s separation was theft. Yes, you read it right! According to Griffin, her ex-husband stole $72,000 from her.

During an interview with CNN’s Larry King, Griffin said:
“My ex-husband, without my knowledge, was sneaking into my wallet when I was asleep in the mornings and taking my ATM cards of my own private accounts and withdrawing money,”. “He admitted it and apologized and … we went to couples therapy,” she added. “I really wanted to make it work.”
Even though the couple went for therapy, it seems like things did not work out between them. Their divorce got finalized on 17th May 2005.

Kathy Griffin and Matt Moline had trust issues

We along with King admit the fact that for someone like Griffin, $72,000 is not a big amount. However, according to Griffin, the couple had extreme trust issues.

In contrast, Griffin’s ex-husband Moline responded in rather a sad way. He had submitted a statement to King which read: “Since our divorce. I have not made any public comments about my ex-wife or our marriage. It saddens me that she would choose to make such accusations at this time. I have no intention of engaging in a public debate over private matters.”

Moving on to Griffin’s toyboy, she met him at a food and wine fest. She admitted to herself that he is a nice normal guy with a nice normal job who doesn’t care for the spotlight. She said: “I like it that way and he does too. For me, the thing which has become of paramount importance is that he's really such a nice person.' This couple appeared few times in the media in 2012, however, there is no distinct proof if they are still dating. Griffin’s official Instagram does not have any hint of her toyboy, but she is rather seen with many other men who seem like her good friend.
