Kenichi Ebina, mostly known for winning America's Got Talent season 8, is a performance artist from Japan. He exceeds in self-taught style featuring storytelling and dance styles like freestyle, hip-hop, and mime. He also practices martial arts and jazz dance styles. 

The performer was born in 1974 in Japan. He earned his Bachelors degree in Arts in Mass Communications in 2000 from the University of  Bridgeport from where he got his Associates of Arts in General Studies in 1998

In 2006 and 2007, Ebina became seven times winner of Apollo Amateur Night and also became a grand champion for the season. He is also featured in a British musical CGI animated television shows called Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps, where he talks about his dance performance involving a story about a mannequin brought to life.

Later Ebina moved to the United States, where he performed at the Chicago auditions, doing a Matrix-style "dance-ish" and won the hearts of all judges, Howie Mandel, Mel B, Howard Stern, and Heidi Kulm, gaining "yes" votes from all four judges. After that, he was directly enrolled at Radio City Music Hall without doing any dance performance during Vegas week. 

During quarterfinals on August 6, 2013, Ebina performed a dance/martial arts at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, in which he interacted with a video that was playing on a large screen behind him. He also played all character shown on the video behind him. Next day, he was voted for the semi-finals.

During the finals, Ebina performed with a remix of his original audition and again won the hearts of all the judges. Finally, on September 18, 2013, he became the winner of the eighth season of America's Got Talent. He also became a first dancer and first foreign actor to win the competition.

Ebina is a Japanese by nationality and belongs to East Asian ethnicity. He is a married man. However, he has not disclosed the name of his wife. The couple is blessed with a daughter. He lives a happily married life together with his spouse and children and has no any sign of divorce. Besides his wife, he has no any past affair and relationship with his girlfriend.
