Before stepping into modeling, Kirsty was in acting and prior to that, she was trained ballet dancer, got her ballet training from Central School of Ballet in London. In 1991. She did her schooling at "Park Mains High School" in Erskine, she was crowned as Miss Scotland.
In 2011, Kirsty was nominated for Johnnie Walker Blue Label Great Scot Award. The nomination was for her Outstanding Contribution to Entertainment.

He is also a Scottish actor known for his work on ‘Take the High Road,' ‘Holby City’ and ‘Heartbeat.'
