1981

Began playing basketball

Kobe's father Joe Bryant is also a retired American professional basketball player. He was his inspiration in basketball. Kobe has been playing basketball since he was three years old. When he was just six years old, his father began playing in Rieti in Italy.

Joined Lower Merion High School

During his summer vacation, he used to move back to United States and play in a basketball summer league. Finally in 1991, his family moved back to United States and then he joined Lower Merion High School.
