Kristina Sunshine Jung known as Kristina Jung is the daughter of famous drug smuggler George Jung and his ex-wife, Mirtha Calderon who later took his surname, Jung.
Kristina Sunshine Jung was born on August 1, 1978, which makes her 40 years of age as of 2018. She had a difficult time in her childhood as both of her parents were engaged in drug abuse and smuggling which led her father to be prisoned quite a few times too.
As for Mirtha, she was a drug addict and was also imprisoned after Kristina's birth. She only stopped using drugs when Kristina was around 3 years of age in 1981. In the year, 1984 Kristina witnessed her parent’s divorce.
Hence, her childhood was difficult as she lived with her mother and couldn't see her father much and wasn't privileged enough to show love to him.
Her grandparents, Frederick Jung, and Ermine Jung were her caretaker who always made sure Kristina would live a happy childhood. Later on, after the death of her grandparents, her aunt Marie Jung cared her until she was 18.
George Jung also known as Boston George and El Americano, smuggled cocaine and was a major player in cocaine trade during 70′s and early ’80s and in 1994, he spent more than ten years in prison.
In the year 2001, the movie ' Blow' was released based on George Jung which featured actors like Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz as the led characters. As shown in the movie, Emma Roberts who played her character she didn't visit him while in jail, however, it has been said that she visited him in 2002.
As of 2018, the two have reconciled their relationship after George was released in 2014. They have been seen attending public events together and Kristina has also shown her love towards her father through social media.
They have got along in business too and have created clothing brand “BG Apparel and Merchandise” and the father-daughter duo are in good terms at the present.
Kristina Sunshine Jung is a writer and poetess and is working on a book about her mother which is expected to be released in 2019. In the movie “Blow” she did a court scene with Johnny as the court clerk, however, the scene had to be deleted. Though she hasn’t spoken much about her career, she involves herself in the business running her clothing brand “BG Apparel and Merchandise” too.
She was married to Romain Karan and has a daughter named Athena Romina Karan. It is not known if they are still together in the present time.
