Kylie Bunbury was born on October 3, 1984, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, to her father Alex Bunbury and mother Kristi Novak.
She was raised along with her two younger brothers Teal Bunbury, an American-Canadian soccer player, and Logan Bunbury by their parents in Calgary.
Her father is Guyanese-Canadian while and her mother is an American. She is of Polish and Swedish descent.
She spent her childhood in Europe (two years in England and seven years on the island of Madeira, Portugal) and also spent a major portion of her life in Prior Lake, Minnesota. She completed her graduation from Prior Lake High School.
