Lara Spencer is an American television presenter best known for being the co-anchor for ABC's Good Morning America. Previously the host of Insider, Lara is also a correspondent for Nightline and ABC News.

Lara Spencer was born as Lara Christine Von Seelen in Garden City, New York, U.S. to Richard von Seelen and Carolyn von Seelen. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1987 and attended Pennsylvania State University on an athletic scholarship from where she graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She was named All American Athlete in 1991. 

While she was at the University she joined NBC page program and began serving as a volunteer. Spencer then found a spot at WDEF-TV and she has her hands as a reporter, anchor, producer, and cameraman. With a year of association with WDEF-TV, she joined News 12 Long Island and two years later she worked as an anchor for 3 AM news at WABC-TV.

While at WABC-TV she rose to fame after she covered the news about the TWA Flight 800 crash in 1996. Three years later, in 1999, she joined ABC's Good Morning America as a national correspondent. In 2014, she finalized her deal with ABC.

Spencer is also a TV producer and has created and co-produced a game show, It's Worth What?. The show aired during 2011' summer on NBC. She has created and produced the other 2 shows: I Brake for Yard Sales and Flea Market Flip. Flea Market Flip airs on Great American Country.
