Lindsay's father Chet used to work in the sports department of local newspaper. She became fascinated in sports since a young age. She received her formal education from Centreville High School. While she was in Centreville, she was also active in lacrosse and field hockey. With the completion of her higher education, she joined James Madison University and graduated from there in 2000. She worked at WUSA as an intern for several months. Later on she joined CNN and she served them as a production assistant. She also worked for WAWS, WTEV-TV and WTVJ. In 2005, she also worked at NBC4. At the end of 2006, she joined The George Michael Sports Machine as the co host of the show. She also covered the 2006 Winter Olympics as the reporter of the NBC sports. She joined ESPN in August 2011 and she has been working there as their SportsCenter anchor.
