Behind bars! Lori Loughlin was arrested on Wednesday, March 13, for allegedly getting involved in a nationwide college admissions scandal, a spokeswoman for FBI, Laura Eimiller, confirmed to Us Weekly.

A warrant for her arrest was issued on Tuesday, March 12, but at the time, she was "out of the country". The Fuller House star is scheduled to appear in Los Angeles court on Wednesday.

Her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, was arrested on Tuesday. The actress and the fashion designer, 55, was among dozens of people who took part in the scam to help their children to study in prestigious universities.

According to court documents obtained by ABC News, the couple "agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000" to have their daughters Olivia, 19, and Bella, 20, "designated as recruits to the USC crew team."

Both of their children are currently attending the University of Southern California. In a recent interview Zach Sang Show on Friday, March 8, Olivia revealed that her father "faked his way through" college.

The influencer said,

He, like, built his whole entire brand and he wasn’t actually, like, ever … enrolled in college. He started his whole business with tuition money that his parents thought [was] going to college.

Following the news of her college admissions scam, sources confirmed that Loughlin deleted her Instagram and Twitter accounts.

Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman, who has two daughters Sofia, 18, and Georgia, 16, with husband William H. Macy, was also arrested on Tuesday, March 12, for her alleged involvement in the scam.
