Luke Perry, Beverly Hills, 90210 Alum, Dies At Age 52 After Suffering Massive Stroke

Luke Perry, the star of Beverly Hills, 90210 and Riverdale died on Monday, March 4, at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California, days after he suffered a massive stroke. He was 52.

He was surrounded by his children Sophie and Jack; mother Ann Bennett; step-father Steve Bennett; fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer; ex-wife Minnie Sharp; brother Tom Perry; sister Amy Coder, when he passed away.

His death was confirmed by his representative. The rep said in a statement,

[Perry] was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, stepfather Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder and other close family and friends. The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time.

As we previously reported, multiple sources confirmed that Perry rushed to the hospital on Wednesday, February 27, after having a heart attack at his home in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles.

His rep told media at the time that Perry was "under observation at the hospital."

A Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson said that paramedics responded a 911 call regarding Perry's condition at approx. 9:40 a.m. He was taken to the hospital via ambulance.

His multiple Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars, Shannen Doherty and Ian Ziering, took to social media sites and paid respect to him at the time.

Funeral and memorial services for the late actor will be announced in the coming days. Rest In Peace Luke Perry!
