Manuela Escobar is the Daughter of the Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar. She was the apple of the eye of the infamous cocaine king. Although she lived her childhood like a princess, it all ended when her father was shot dead in 1993.
Manuela was born to Pablo Escobar and Maria on May 25, 1984, as the youngest among two. Manuela grew up living a fairy tale life alongside her brother Juan who is an architect and an author. She was homeschooled to make sure about her safety from her father’s enemies.
Pablo once made a unicorn out of a horse with cow horns stapled to its forehead and wings attached at its back when his daughter asked a Unicorn for her birthday. However, the horse died due to infection. It is also rumored that once Pablo burned a stack of money worth $2 million just to keep his daughter warm and protect her from Hypothermia. To make Manuela the last of his bloodline Pablo made one of his mistresses to abort his child.
However, the fairytale life took a great turn when Pablo was shot to death by the Colombian National Police on December 2, 1993. Manuela and her family had to leave all the luxury and flee from Colombia. In the processing of escaping her father’s foes, she and her family fled to Mozambique, and to Brazil arriving in Buenos Aires in process of seeking asylum and finally settled there as the citizens in exile from Colombia.
Manuela than changed her identity to Juana Manuela Marroquin Santos, her mother Maria Henao to Maria Isabel Santos Caballero and her brother Juan to Sebastian Marroquin. She started going to school in Argentina with her brother and her mother became a successful entrepreneur. However, when her mother got tracked down by one of her business associates and was kept locked up for one and a half year Manuela refused to go back to school and was given private tuition.
Regarding her personal life, there is not much information revealed about her life throughout the years. Although her brother Juan has spoken to media and public many times, Manuela has remained silent. She has not been active on social sites since 2013 and there is no information about her love life, relationships, boyfriend or marriage.
In 2015, Juan even published a book dedicated to his father ‘Pablo Escobar: My Father’.
In 2015 August, the real-life story of the Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar was released via an American TV series ‘Narcos’. Its third season was released in 2017.
Since Manuela decided to live her life in the shadows, there is no detail regarding her career, salary, net worth, and profession. Although she had a voice suitable for a singing career there is no clue about Manuela being established as a musician. Nevertheless, during his lifetime, her father Pablo, managed to make an estimated worth of around $30 billion.
