The granddaughter of Ernest Hemmingway, Margaux was born in Portlan, Oregon, U.S.A. to Byra Louise and Jack Hemmingway. Her full name is Margot Louise Hemmingway and she also has a younger sister named Mariel Hemmingway who was also an actress.

1974

Became Highest Paid Model

She was regal in stature and possessed a stellar height of 6 feet and went into modeling and landed a $1 million dollar contract with Faberge making her the highest paid model.  Later, she was deemed as New York's New Supermodel by 1975 issue of American Vogue.

Acting debut in Lipstick

She was regal in stature and possessed a stellar height of 6 feet and went into modeling which led her venture into acting in movies as well. Her acting debut was in the movie Lipstick where she portrays a leading role as a fashion model who gets invited to a secluded fashion shoot and gets a phone call from her ex lover.

Starred in Killer Fish

Her acting career was kickstarted by starring in Lipsick as a fashion model and this was her second movie. This was a horror flick where a robber hides emeralds at the bottom of a reservoir and released piranhas to safeguard the loot.

1978

Divorced First husband Erroll Wetanson

Her personal life was not a success as she drank heavily like her writer grandfather Ernest Hemmingway and this led to the dissolution of marriage with her first husband Erroll Wetanson and the divorce was finalized in 1978. She then fled to Paris with her then director Bernard Fouche.

1979

Married Bernard Faucher

She had left first husband Erroll Wetanson and ran away with director Bernard Faucher to Paris Yet her life with him was unpleasant and she divorced him eventually after 6 years. Her family life wasn't without any troubles.

1991

Starred in Inner Sanctum

1991 wasn't a good year for her as starred in a lot of B- Grade movies including Inner Sanctum. She plays a woman that attempts a suicide after she suspects her husband of having an affair. The ordeal causes her to be wheelchair bound and she is taken care of by a nurse.

Died in Santa Monica

She was found dead in her apartment in Santa Monica, California, at the age of 41. This happened 35 years after the suicide of her grandfather – exactly to the day. It was suspected that since her life was so troubled, she might have chosen to end her life to revere her grandfather since his was also quite distressed.
