Marie is the daughter of parents mother Olive May and father George Virl Osmond. She has eight siblings, named Virl, Tom, Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, and Jimmy Osmond. Marie made a guest appearance on The Andy Williams Show at the age of four. 

She got married to her first husband Stephen Lyle Craig on June 26, 1982. Her husband Stephen Lyle Craig is a production designer. The couple has been blessed with one son named,  Stephen James Craig who was born on April 20, 1983.
