Mario Gotze is a professional football player from Germany. As a football player, he plays as an attacking midfielder for Borrusia Dortmund alongside Christian Pulisic. In 2014, he represented Germany national team in the 2014 FIFA World Cup and they won this title that year after he scored the winning goal against Argentina in the 113th minute.
Five feet and nine inches tall, Mario Gotze was born in on 3 June 1992, in Memmingen, Germany to Jürgen Götze and Astrid Götze. He has two siblings and they are named Fabian Götze and Felix Götze. Both of them are football player. He is German.

The footballer suffered from a metabolic disorder in early March 2017. The illness was later regarded as myopathy, a muscular disorder that affects the fibers in the muscle making them function incorrectly.

Mario has been playing football since his youth days. He is the product of Dortmund's youth academy but before, he played for SC Ronsberg and FC Eintracht Hombruch. He joined FC Eintracht Hombruch in 1998 and he played with them till 2001. He joined Borussia Dortmund as a youth player in 2001. He was aged 8 during that time.
After spending eight years as a youth player in the Dortmund’s youth academy, he finally made his Bundesliga debut at the end of 2009. He played his debut game against Mainz 05 on 21st of November.
In 2010–11 seasons, he made 11 assists, the same as fellow German footballer, Thomas Muller. He also scored eight important goals for the club. He won this first Bundesliga title that year. Gotze scored 22 goals in his 83 appearances for Borussia Dortmund. He made his Bayern Munich debut on 11th of August 2013. He made his Bayern goal debut on 24th of August where he scored his first goal for Bayern on 23rd of October against Viktoria Plzen at the Allianz Arena.
After three seasons at Bayern, Gotze was again transferred back to Dortmund in a four years' contract. While he got back to Dortmund, he stated that he regretted joining Bayern. After moving back to Dortmund, he has altogether played 34 with a goal chart of 3 goals.
Gotze is also having a successful international career as he helped Germany win the FIFA World Cup in 2014. He made his international debut on 17th of November 2010 against Sweden. On 9th of February 2011, he played his second match for Germany and that was against Italy.
After scoring four goals in 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying, he was listed in the 23 man Germany's squad alongside Manuel Neuer, Mats Hummels, and Bastian Schweinsteiger. He scored his debut world cup goal against Ghana.
He was benched throughout the semi-final 7–1 hammering of Brazil but he substituted Miroslav Klose in the 88 minutes in the World Cup final against Argentina and scored the only goal in the 113th minutes. He became the world cup hero and he also won the Man of the Match on the final match of the world cup.
In 2016, he earned the annual salary of 7 million EUR. He is currenlty in the market for as much as £16.20 million but, he has been up to his highest bidding amount of £49.5 million. As of 2018, Mario Gotze is worth $35 million.
