Mary J. Blige was married to Kendu Isaacs

Blige tied the knot with her manager Isaacs on 7th December 2003. Despite the years, their marriage ended in July 2016 due to irreconcilable differences as stated. Blige opened up about what went wrong in her marriage to radio station Power 105.1. She said that she frequently got too much disrespect. She later realized that her husband doesn’t want her anymore after he questioned her trivial matters.

She added:

“You start to realize that this man doesn’t want you and he’s just gone all the time and you’re by yourself in the relationship. When you realize you’re by yourself and you’re just suffering through it, now it’s time to do some investigating.”

Blige responded to the rumors about her husband until she found the proof. She claims that it just showed up and she didn’t need to investigate it any further.

Blige and Isaacs do not have any children together but her ex-husband Isaacs has three kids, Briana, Jordan, and Nas, from his previous relationships. Blige and Isaacs had been encountering marriage problems for a long time. She opened up about the cold truth to Wendy Williams in 2012. She said:

 “My marriage is not on the rocks, but I would be a liar and my fans would hate me if I said to them, ‘Oh, we’re perfect and everything is great,’”. We have situations just like everyone else. We’re not out in public trying to kill each other, but it’s real. We love each other.”
