Matthew Staton Bomer joined The Klein High School, where he was a classmate of future actor Lee Pace and actress Lynn Collins. He along with Pace acted at Houston's Alley Theatre, a non-profit theatre company. During his early age, he was nurtured by a theater arts teacher who guided him to learn a proper action. 

Later, Matthew received the scholarship for some of his monologue performances and entered in Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from this University and also got his degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts.
