Hardy started his federation the "Trampoline Wrestling Federation" along with his brother Jeff and friends. He wrestled at World Championship Wrestling Amateur Challenge using the ring name High Voltage.
After spending more time as a jobber in the WWF and also took part in matches against Hunter Hearst Helmsley and The Ringmaster, he finally decided to formed tag team with Jeff. Hardy is known for his time in WWE, where is popular as the Hardy Boyz tag, team with his real-life brother Jeff.
Hardy gained more popularity as he participated in WWF's tag team division alongside Jeff in Tables, Ladders, and Chairs matches. Hardy as a wrestler is a 12-time world tag-team champion, having held six WWF/World Championships, WWE/Raw Championships, ROH World Championship, WCW Championship and TNA World Championships.
Besides his career as a tag-team wrestler, Matthew is also a three-time world champion, TNA World Heavyweight Champion, and the WWE's ECW winner. During the WWE and WWF, he also won the United States Championship, the European Championship, the Hardcore Championship and the Cruiserweight Championship.
Talking about his personal life, Hardy has a long list of girlfriends. He dated former WWE Diva, Amy Lita Dumas for six years and broke up as she started dating Hardy's close friend fellow wrestler, Adam Edge Copeland, since February 2005.
Later Hardy married Reby Sky Reyes on October 5, 2013. The couple is happy with their two sons Maxel Hardy and Wolfgang Xander Hardy.
