Matt Helders Files for Divorce from Wife Breana McDow, Ends Two Years of Marriage

Matt Helders and Breana McDow have split! The Arctic Monkeys drummer filed for divorce from his wife Breana McDow on Wednesday, January 16, after two years of marriage.

According to an article TMZ published on Wednesday, the reason for the split between the musician and the model is not clear.

Matt is seeking for joint legal and physical custody of their daughter Amelia Darling, 3. In the court document Matt filed, he says they've mutually agreed not to pay each other spousal support.

Matt, 32, and Breana, 28, who began dating in 2011, became engaged in 2013 and eventually got married in June 2016 in Italy.

Matt, who is a founding member of Arctic Monkeys, formed the English rock band in 2002 in Sheffield, England. Breana has since appeared in three of the band's music videos.

In addition to playing drums, Matt also provided vocals on all six of the group's studio albums.

Matt also provided the drum tracks on Iggy Pop's studio album 'Post Pop Depression' and on Lady Gaga's album 'Joanne' in 2016.
