At his tender age, Matt Miazga started playing a football along with his hometown's friends in his local area. To achieve his dream of becoming a football star, he started his football career joining youth team of New York Red Bulls and played for a U-14 team. He led the U-16 team to won the U.S Soccer Development Academy National Championship.
Matt Miazga then signed a letter of an intent deal for Michigan Wolverines men’s soccer program. Later, he was offered by Europe and the New York Red Bulls and signed a new deal with New York Red Bulls, making him eight players to sign a homegrown contract with the club.
