Matthew Nabel was born on 8th March 1972, in Sydney, Australia. He is the youngest son of a soldier Dave Nable. He and his elder brother Adam Nable grew up in Vietnam and Korea surrounded by veterans.

He got his major role from a movie Riddick alongside the actor Vin Diesel. He also worked with two time Academy Awards winner, director and actor Mel Gibson in Hacksaw Ridge in 2016.
