Mauricio Islas is a Mexican TV and Film Actor famous for his lead role in the movie Preciosa. He has also appeared in Don de Dios, Ambiciona, Un Tigre.
Mauricio was born Juan Mauricio Islas IIescas in Mexico City, Mexico on August 16, 1973. He is the son of father Juan Islas, who was a businessman and mother Rosalinda IIescas. Mauricio was raised alongside his elder brother. His current age is 44. There is not much information regarding Mauricio’s early life.

Mauricio got involved in a scandal that led him to prison in 2004. While drunk, Mauricio had sex with his co-star Genesis Rodriguez. Genesis fainted during recording and was taken to a medical center where she told she had doubts. Mauricio was taken to prison for few hours and was fined $7,500 for his bail.
Mauricio was married to Venezuelan singer and actress Patricia Villasana, who is known for her role in Embrace Me Tightly, on November 29, 2001. The pair has a daughter together, Camila, born on May 3, 2002.
The pair divorced in 2006 after Islas got involved in a sex scandal with his then 16-year-old Prisionera co-star Genesis Rodriguez, with whom he had dated for just two months during 2004.
