Graduated from Landon School

Maury received his primary education from Landon School. He was also able to complete his high school graduation from there in 1957 and then he joined University of Pennsylvania. There he majored in television journalism and finally earned his undergraduate degree in 1962.

Joined WWDC

He didn't have to wait that long for his first job. Soon after his graduation, he joined WWDC as a reporter. He also did publicity there. After serving them for about four years, in 1966, he joined WTTG-TV as a news reporter and sportscaster.
