Melissa Gorga was born on March 21, 1979, in Montville, New Jersey, the United States of America, to father Anthony John Marco and mother Donna Marco.
She was raised in Toms River, New Jersey by her parents along with her two siblings; sisters Kim Marco Pirrella and Lysa Marco-Simpson.
She is of American nationality, Italian descent and belongs to white ethnicity. Melissa has studied at the New Jersey City University and she was living in Bayonne, New Jersey while attending college.
Career
Melissa Gorga joined The Real Housewives of New Jersey along with her husband Joe Gorga. The couple joined the Bravo hit series in its third season in April 2010.
She appeared on the show alongside Dina Manzo, Danielle Staub, Caroline Manzo and Teresa Giudice, who is her sister-in-law.
Melissa and Teresa had a series of unforgettable fights. Mellisa worked as a cocktail waitress in a strip club while she was in college but Teresa claimed that she was not a waitress but a stripper in the club. This started a dispute between the two on the show.
Besides being a television star, Melissa is also a musician. She released her single On Display on iTunes on August 13, 2011.
She then released two additional singles on iTunes; How Many Times in April 2012 and Rockstar in June 2012. She released her fourth song, I Just Wanna in September 2012.
Being also a businesswoman, Melissa introduced a jewelry line on HSN TV in 2014. Later in late 2015, she opened a boutique, Envy by Melissa Gorga, in Montclair, New Jersey. The store was briefly closed following a dispute with her business partner, Jackie Beard Robinson.
