Raised in Andover, Michael Chiklis, age 5, spent his time entertaining his family by doing celebrity impressions. Soon after, he appeared in several regional theatre productions and at the age of 13, Chiklis became a member of Actors' Equity Association. After graduating from Andover High School, he attended Boston University College of Fine Arts where he received a BFA degree. After his college, he moved to Brooklyn and netted a role in the 1989 movie Wired. He gained 40 pounds weight for his role. Even though this movie was a critical failure, Michael survived and found several roles that would give his acting career a major boost.
His first successful show was the comedy-drama The Commish. He also appeared in the TV movie The Three Stooges. In 2005, he scored the role of 'The Thing' in Fantastic Four and it's 2007 sequel. Of height 5 feet and 5 inches, he was perfect for the role. Stating that he was a fan of the comic series, he did an impeccable job portraying the Thing. In 2008, Michael was a part of the movie Eagle Eye.
Michael Chiklis married Michelle Moran in 1992 and has two daughters: Autumn and Odessa. His voice has gone hoarse from doing the thing's voice so many times. Along with sports, Chiklis also plays guitar, bass, and drums. He is often seen in the studio and performing with his band.
